Full Throttle - by Mike Huckabee . . . and Delegates & "Electability"

FULL THROTTLE - by Mike Huckabee
January 30, 2008, 1:54 p.m.

Our campaign is full throttle toward Super Tuesday where a number of key Southern states, and other strong conservative states, are likely to add to our delegate count, which already had us in second place in delegates before Florida. I look forward to a healthy and constructive debate at the Reagan Library tonight as we discuss the conservative issues that matter to most Americans and will define our Party and our future.

We have a long way to go in this nominating process. When you look at what we have done, with what we have, it's a remarkable story that is not even close to being over. In fact, we like to believe we're just really getting started. I'm convinced that my optimistic message of hope and change will continue to resonate with voters as we head into Super Tuesday.

My comments? If you do the delegate calculus, Mike comes out on TOP, or at worst, in 2nd place - at the end of Super Tuesday - and then heads to huge support in Texas. For those who like Mike but worry about "electability," remember this! It's the Delegate count - and it's only just begun!

Also, he's the ONLY CANDIDATE to have BEATEN the Clinton Machine and the Democrat Machine - and more than once!

I just read Novak's column and he seems to think that Huckabee will win Missouri outright and be very competitive across the South. Novak predicts that Gov. Huckabee may very well pass Romney in the delegate count on Super Tuesday!

I've done the Delegate calculus - and there's a VERY REAL possibility that Huckabee will not only pass Romney, but will come out in FIRST PLACE at the end of Super Tuesday!

Hi Theresa,

Nice job with your book ideas and support for Mike Huckabee. I noticed at the Huckabee blog space some folks have been sending e-mail to Gov. Arnold Schwartzeneger asking him to consider not endorsing anyone in the Republican primary out of respect for all the GOP contenders. Arnold as Gov. of California should keep the Reagan spirit alive by not attacking/siding for one person at this time. Why? There are many reasons to endorse Mike. Both men have experienced similar struggles to get to the top leadership roles in their respective states. And in fact Mike's health story, state education story, national disasters and relief stories, and his work with democrats reflects a similar experience that Arnold should be impressed by. So, to keep himself looking Reagan-like, please ask Marie to at least ask her husband to be neutral during the primaries. What Rudy did was steal the wind out of John's sails today. I felt sorry for Rudy and more so for John Mccain who had to waste time at a press conference prior to the debate. While I know Mike would love an endorsement from Arnold, perhaps the best thing would be to prove all the pundits wrong again and say he is

In order to respect Maria's space, Perhaps you might wish to try by yourself sending a heart-to-heart fax to the Office of First Lady Maria Shriver asking her to send the fax to her husband.
